Christian is a PhD candidate at University of Bergen in Paleoecology. His main interests rely on understanding terrestrial ecosystems responses to long-term climate changes. He is particularly interested in the study of lakes and peatlands palaeoecological changes during the Holocene, using a multiproxy approach and spatio-temporal data analysis of sites that includes diatoms, testate amoeba, XRF among others. His current project is focused on understanding past interactions between temperature and precipitation in raised bogs and their impacts in the carbon budget.
