About

Hesam is versatile agriculture, plant, and soil obsessed. His research history/inspiration falls within a wide range, from plant science (breeding, stress factors, pathology) to soil functions and biota. Further, he aims to enhance sustainable plant production, cultivation under environmental stress, plant-surroundings interactions, nutrient turnover, soil functions/quality, and mitigating climate change. The primary concern of his current project is to investigate the effects of different fertilizing regimes on soil health, e.g., biochemical functions and biota. Besides, he also has an eye on enhancing sustainability/stability in food production and reducing gas emissions from the agriculture sector.
