Liv is a PhD student at the Section for Genetics and Plant Breeding, Faculty of Biosciences at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU). She has worked in various plant biology fields since 2009, from soil borne diseases in horticultural crops to organic Production systems. She completed her MCs at NMBU in 2009, writing her thesis within the Field of Chemical Ecology, specifically on fruit crop and beneficial insect communication. Her focus in her PhD project named Qapple, is developing genomic based breeding technology for high quality apples in a nordic climate.
