The club will mainly focus on topics related to genetic engineering. Our plan is to host a guest talk from an experienced researcher at least once a month. In between, we would like to invite students to present either their own work or a recently published scientific article, so that we can all stay up to date with the latest developments in the field.
Since we are associated with Photosyntech, many talks will naturally involve photosynthetic organisms, but we also want to keep it broad and welcome presentations from students working with other organisms as well.
Our first talk will take place on Friday, 19 September, from 14:30 to 15:30, and will be given by Dr. Mallikarjuna Kovi. He will present on the project he leads: NitroGenEdit: Less nitrogen, more yield and high-quality grass.
