Erik is in the external advisory board of Photosyntech. He is a plant molecular biologist studying plant-pathogen interactions and host defense mechanisms both in the laboratory and in the field. He leads projects on biofortification of cassava and the use of biologicals in sub-Saharan Africa. He also works with PlantLink (www.plantlink.se), a collaboration between Lund University and SLU Alnarp to strengthen plant research and is the coordinator of the Nordic University hub NordPlant (www.nordplant.org)
