Hanna has a background in sustainable biotechnology and a broad experience with microalgae process design, strain selection and valorization of waste streams by microalgae cultivation. Moreover, she is very excited about the possibility to expand her knowledge and experience in sustainability analysis through Life cycle assessment (LCA) during her PhD project. Since 2022, she is a PhD candidate connected to the SLAM-DUNK project, where she focus on the development and optimization of microalgae cultivation on residual waste streams from RAS systems and anaerobic digestate; as well as the evaluation of sustainability and logistics (LCA and TEA) of the value chain that is combining novel technologies (anaerobic digestion, pyrolysis, and microalgae) in this project.
