About

Jorunn is a PhD student at the Department of Natural Sciences and Environmental Health at the University of South-Eastern Norway (USN). She has a background as a Biomedical Laboratory Scientist and holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science. Her professional experience includes working at Bionér AS, where she developed expertise in laboratory techniques such as DNA extraction and library preparation, as well as gaining experience with bioinformatic analyses. In her PhD project, Jorunn investigates the mechanisms behind species’ local adaptation by applying landscape genomics analyses and phenotyping on a widespread fungus.
