Luts is a professor at the Univeristy of Stavanger. He studied Biology and Biochemistry at the LMU Munich. His research fields are in development of proteomic methodology and about the assembly of membrane protein complexes in higher plant plastids. He has a special focus on the regulation of the last steps of chlorophyll synthesis and binding/positioning of chlorophyll in the photosynthetic complexes.
