Radin is a doctoral researcher in the PhotoMicrobes group at the University of Turku. His PhD research focuses on understanding how photosynthetic electron flow is regulated under microoxic conditions to enhance hydrogen production in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, using Synechocystis PCC 6803 as a comparative model. By studying hydrogen production kinetics under pulse illumination and anaerobic conditions, he aims to determine how hydrogenase activity and photosynthetic electron transport can be optimized to increase hydrogen yield and efficiency.
