Profiles
Postdoctoral researcher
- A PhD degree in Plant Biology/Genetics/Biochemistry or a related discipline.
- A good command of English and capable of acquiring new skills.
- Must be experienced in more than one of the following techniques: (1)
molecular biology (Golden gate/gateway/Gibson assembly), confocal
microscopy (time-lapse imaging, image analysis), DNA sequencing analysis
(RNAseq, scRNAseq), Biomolecular interactions (in vitro pull-down, MicroScale
Thermophoresis, Isothermal titration calorimetry). - A good track record of publication that demonstrates the above.
We offer competitive remuneration packages for both positions (PhD degree holder
from NTD 64,000/month). Successful candidates are expected to commence as soon
as possible.

About the lab
We are a research group at the IPMB, Academia Sinica interested in using bryophytes
and flowering plants as models to understand their morphological adaptations during
the aquatic-to-terrestrial transition. In particular we are focusing on understanding
(i) How do small signalling peptides contribute to cell-cell communications to facilitate
the establishment of growth and predetermined patterns?
(ii) How is such signalling information affect the cell wall remodelling and eventually
controls cell shapes/sizes?
