We are pleased to announce our second business mini-tour. This will happen June 15.-16. with meet up mid-day in Bodø on the 15. and end in Bodø early evening on the 16.
At first, only current PhD members will be invited to sign-up for the tour. If there are available spaces after, associated members will be invited to join.

Dinner on the 15., breakfast and lunch on the 16. will be from Heges matopplevelser
We will stay in cabins at Steigen lodge https://steigenlodge.no/. They are located at the beautiful island Engeløya (not as in “angels island”, but after the norse word Ǫngull that is later Angel = hook, because of the shape of the island).

Monday June 15., 2026
11:30 Meet up in Bodø with lunch (details on where later).
12:30-13:30 Bus to Fauske
13:30-15:30 Statens naturoppsyn with Thorhild Lamo. Restauration, protection and about Statens naturoppsyn.
15:30- 18:00 Bus to Steigen Lodge.
19:00 Dinner and social.
Tuesday June 16., 2026
08:00 Breakfast and leaving cabins.
09:00-09:30 Bus to Fonn Holand Gård.
09:30-12:00 Fonn Holand gård. Tour of the farm, challenges that has been overcome and still exist (nematodes and pink rot).
12:00-12:45 Bus to Nordfold and Folla alger (Lunch while driving).
13:00 – 15:00 Folla alger, making aquaculture more sustainable with kelp (integrated kelp cultivation and salmon farming (IMTA)).
15:00-18:30 Bus back to Bodø.
