Andrew is a PhD student at the Department of Mathematics at UiB in the NFR-funded project MitoPhyto. He completed his bachelor’s degree at Victoria University of Wellington, where he majored in human genetics and biotechnology. He took his masters at UiB where he focused on the functional characterisation of mitochondrial coenzyme transporters. In his PhD project, Andrew combines his biology background with the maths and computational expertise of his research group to investigate the complexities of mitochondrial dynamics in various species.
