Research interests:
- Ecophysiology of Arctic phytoplankton and sea ice algae (mostly marine, but also some freshwater projects)
- Photophysiology (FRRF), primary production, stoichiometry, fatty acids, trophic markers
- Experiments at all scales (from microwell plates to mesocosms))
- Main study areas: Svalbard, Barents Sea, Arctic Ocean
