Muhammad is a PhD student at the Department of Computer Science at NTNU Gjøvik, working on PheNo (pheno.no), a national plant phenotyping initiative bringing together NTNU, NMBU, NIBIO, UiO and UiT. He came to agriculture from computer vision rather than plant science, and much of his work is about turning images, spectra and sensor data into numbers breeders and agronomists can use.
