Nelly Braun is a PhD student at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). She has background in Plant Sciences and Molecular Plant Biology, with particular interest in plant stress physiology and plant-environment interactions. Her previous research focused on the role of suberin as a transport barrier in PopulusĂ—canescens under drought stress, as well as gene expression responses in abiotic stress in Solanum tuberosum. Her current PhD thesis in the ERC-funded Hydrosensing project investigates how cell wall-associated receptors like THESEUS1 contribute to absicic acid (ABA)-mediated drought sensing in Arabidopsis thaliana, aiming to improve our understanding of plant responses to water stress under climate change conditions.
