Saria is a PhD student at Nord University studying the diet and fitness of high alpine birds (ptarmigans) under climate change. By using DNA metabarcoding, she analyze fecal pellets to understand how their food composition and selection varies with the timing of spring and also between ptarmigan species. Her broad interests are in avian ecology, climate change and human impacts.
