Steven is a PhD student at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology. The aim of his research is to identify and characterize genes involved in cell wall integrity in the woodland strawberry model. Before coming to Norway, Steven completed a MSc degree in Plant Biotechnology at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, where he worked on phylogenetics of lignin biosynthesis genes. In addition, Steven worked on plant-microbe interactions as an intern at the University of Zürich.
